3. The magnificent and impressive Rainbow Bridge is known to the Indians as Rainbow-Turned-to-Stone.

4. It is situated at the feet of Navajo Mountain. It can be reached only over a long, difficult trail and can be access by boat via Lake Powell.

5. The Rainbow Bridge has been protected as a national monument since 1910.

6. On May 30, 1910, U.S. President William Howard Taft used presidential proclamation to designate Rainbow Bridge National Monument.

7. This geological wonder spans a distance of 84 meters and with a height of 88 meters from its base to its top.

8. In comparison, Rainbow Bridge is as high as the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
